social media world, twitter stream has been brimming with content from every corner of the world.  And now , images and videos will soon be a part of this sharing process on the site.
A feature that is currently in a testing phase will allow the Twitter users to now embed videos and photos in their streams. Known as the ‘Tweet Media’ (which has been removed as of now), the new feature came with a following description during the settings:
By default, you’ll only see images and videos shared by people you’re following, and reveal those by people you’re not. Check this box to see media from everyone on Twitter.”

Twitter has been trying to emulate and implement many of such features that are offered by third party apps. This is a direct assault to apps like Twitpic, TwitVid, Brizzly and others that have been around from quite a while enabling users to share photos and videos on the site. Also Twitter has always been loved for its simple and clean interface which as we see now is swarming with new features slowly. Also dealing with spam has always been a big issue on Twitter and with more multimedia content on the site, things are bound to get more dirty. Finally the site has always faced technical glitches ever so often interrupting its use. With photos and videos now becoming the part of the stream, prepare for the worst. So is Twitter trying to become the Facebook? If Yes, sadly, its certainly heading for a doom.
